By submitting a reservation request or renting a vehicle from SSG Car Rental, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the following reservation and rental conditions.
1. Reservation Requests
Reservations can be submitted through our website or through other authorized communication channels provided by SSG Car Rental.
Submitting a reservation request does not automatically guarantee vehicle availability. A reservation is considered confirmed only after SSG Car Rental has reviewed the request and the customer has received confirmation from us.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact, driver, pick-up, and return information when making a reservation.
2. Vehicle Availability
All reservations are subject to vehicle availability.
SSG Car Rental will make every reasonable effort to provide the vehicle selected by the customer. In the event that the reserved vehicle becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, including mechanical issues, damage, delayed returns, or circumstances beyond our control, we may offer a comparable vehicle when available.
Any significant change will be communicated to the customer as soon as reasonably possible.
3. Driver Requirements
The primary driver must present:
- A valid driver’s license;
- A valid passport or government-issued identification;
- A valid method of payment accepted by SSG Car Rental; and
- Any additional documentation reasonably required to complete the rental agreement.
The driver’s license must be valid for the duration of the rental.
Additional drivers must be declared and approved by SSG Car Rental before they are permitted to operate the vehicle.
The vehicle may only be driven by drivers listed and authorized under the rental agreement.
4. Pick-Up and Return
Customers must provide the requested pick-up and return dates, times, and locations when making their reservation.
Customers are expected to return the vehicle at the agreed date, time, and location.
If the customer expects to return the vehicle later than agreed, SSG Car Rental should be contacted as soon as possible. Late returns may result in additional rental charges.
Extending the rental period is subject to availability and must be approved by SSG Car Rental.
5. Airport and Accommodation Delivery
Airport, hotel, resort, vacation rental, or other agreed delivery and collection services may be available depending on location and scheduling.
Customers arriving by air are encouraged to provide their correct flight number so that SSG Car Rental can account for reasonable flight delays.
Additional charges may apply for certain delivery locations, after-hours service, or special arrangements. Any applicable charge will be communicated before confirmation.
6. Rental Rates and Payment
Rental rates are based on the vehicle, rental period, availability, applicable services, and any additional options selected by the customer.
The final rental price will be communicated as part of the reservation confirmation or rental agreement.
Payment must be made using a payment method accepted by SSG Car Rental.
Where a deposit or advance payment is required to secure a reservation, the reservation may remain unconfirmed until the required payment has been received.
Additional charges resulting from the rental, including approved extensions, missing fuel, excessive cleaning, loss of keys, damage, fines, or other applicable charges, may be payable separately in accordance with the rental agreement.
7. Security Deposit
A security deposit may be required before the vehicle is released to the customer.
The amount and payment method will be communicated during the reservation or rental process.
The security deposit may be used toward amounts for which the renter is responsible under the rental agreement, subject to applicable law and the agreed rental conditions.
Any remaining refundable balance will be released or returned after the vehicle has been inspected and all applicable charges have been determined.
Processing times for card refunds or releases may vary depending on the customer’s bank or card provider.
8. Cancellation and No-Show
Customers who need to cancel or modify a reservation should contact SSG Car Rental as early as possible.
Cancellation conditions may vary depending on the reservation, rental period, vehicle, and whether an advance payment or deposit has been made.
A customer who fails to appear for a confirmed reservation without prior notice may be considered a no-show.
Where a reservation required an advance payment, cancellation or no-show charges may apply according to the conditions communicated at the time of confirmation.
9. Fuel Policy
The vehicle should be returned with the agreed fuel level indicated at the beginning of the rental.
If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than required, the customer may be charged for the missing fuel and any applicable refueling service charge.
Customers should confirm the fuel level when receiving the vehicle.
10. Vehicle Condition
The vehicle will be inspected before being provided to the customer.
Existing visible damage may be documented through photographs, video, an inspection form, or the rental agreement.
Customers are encouraged to review the vehicle condition before departure and immediately report any damage or issue that has not already been recorded.
Upon return, SSG Car Rental may inspect the vehicle for new damage, missing equipment, cleanliness, fuel level, and general condition.
11. Accidents, Damage and Mechanical Problems
In the event of an accident, damage, theft, warning light, mechanical problem, or other incident involving the rental vehicle, the customer must contact SSG Car Rental as soon as reasonably possible.
Customers should not authorize repairs or modifications to the vehicle without prior approval from SSG Car Rental, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety.
In the event of an accident, customers must cooperate with SSG Car Rental, the relevant authorities, and any applicable insurance procedures.
Responsibility for damage, loss, deductibles, or other costs will be determined according to the rental agreement, applicable insurance coverage, circumstances of the incident, and applicable law.
12. Traffic Violations, Parking and Towing
The renter is responsible for traffic violations, parking fines, towing charges, and similar penalties incurred during the rental period to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Where SSG Car Rental receives a fine or official request relating to the rental period, the renter may be responsible for the applicable amount and any reasonable administrative costs associated with processing the matter.
13. Smoking and Vehicle Cleanliness
Smoking inside SSG Car Rental vehicles is not permitted.
Vehicles should be returned in reasonably clean condition.
Additional cleaning charges may apply when a vehicle requires exceptional cleaning due to smoking, excessive sand, stains, spills, excessive dirt, strong odors, pet-related cleaning, or other conditions beyond normal rental use.
14. Prohibited Use
Rental vehicles may not be:
- Used for illegal activities;
- Driven by an unauthorized driver;
- Used for racing, speed testing, or similar activities;
- Used while the driver is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs safe driving;
- Used to intentionally transport more passengers than legally permitted;
- Sub-rented or transferred to another person without authorization; or
- Operated in a reckless manner or in locations or conditions clearly unsuitable for the vehicle.
The renter remains responsible for using the vehicle safely and in accordance with Aruba’s traffic laws and the rental agreement.
15. Personal Belongings
Customers are responsible for their personal belongings during the rental period.
SSG Car Rental is not responsible for personal items lost, stolen, forgotten, or damaged in or around the rental vehicle, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Customers should inspect the vehicle carefully before returning it.
16. Privacy and Customer Information
Personal information submitted during the reservation process will be used for purposes related to processing reservations, communicating with customers, administering rental agreements, payments, security, and other legitimate operational or legal requirements.
SSG Car Rental will handle customer information with reasonable care and will not intentionally disclose personal information to unrelated third parties except where necessary to provide the rental service, process payments, handle insurance or legal matters, or comply with applicable law.
17. Reservation Changes
Requests to change the vehicle, rental dates, pick-up time, return time, driver, or location are subject to availability.
Changes may affect the rental price.
A requested modification is not considered accepted until confirmed by SSG Car Rental.
18. Rental Agreement
This Reservation Policy provides the general conditions applicable to reservation requests made through the SSG Car Rental website.
The customer may also be required to sign a separate Rental Agreement when receiving the vehicle. The Rental Agreement may contain additional conditions relating to insurance, liability, vehicle use, deposits, damage, deductibles, and other rental-specific matters.
Where applicable, the signed Rental Agreement will govern the actual use of the rental vehicle.
19. Acceptance of Policy
By submitting a reservation request through the SSG Car Rental website, the customer confirms that the information provided is accurate and acknowledges having read and accepted this Reservation Policy.
Submitting a reservation request does not constitute final confirmation of the rental. The reservation becomes confirmed only when SSG Car Rental provides confirmation to the customer.
